Good questions deserve straight answers.
We frequently hear the same questions from individuals who are new to working with a financial advisor, as well as from those who have worked with other firms and want to understand what to expect from us. Below are straightforward answers to the questions we hear most often.
Getting Started
-
How do I know if Nadler Financial Group is right for me?
We are well-suited for individuals and families who are looking for a genuine, long-term advisory relationship rather than a transactional one. Our clients tend to be individuals, families, and business owners who place a high value on thoughtful, independent and objective, personalized guidance. If you are looking for an advisor who will take the time to understand your full situation and remain a consistent presence over the years, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
-
What happens in the first meeting?
We approach the initial meeting as a conversation rather than a presentation. We ask a focused set of questions and then spend the majority of our time listening, because before we can offer any meaningful guidance, we need to understand your goals, your current situation, and what you are hoping to accomplish. There is no obligation following that first meeting, and we will not attempt to sell you any financial products.
-
Is there a minimum investment to work with you?
We primarily serve high net worth individuals and families. We encourage you to reach out to us directly so we can discuss whether our services are a strong fit for your situation.
-
Will I be working with just one advisor, or a team?
Every client benefits from the collective knowledge of our full group of professionals. Our team collaborates which means more perspectives are applied to your financial plan, continuity is maintained regardless of individual schedules, and someone who understands your situation is always available when you need us.
How We Work & How We’re Paid
-
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. As a registered investment advisor, Nadler Financial Group is required to act in your best interest at all times. This is a meaningful distinction from brokers or commission-based advisors, who are held to a less stringent suitability standard. We regard our fiduciary obligation as fundamental to how we work, not simply a regulatory requirement.
-
How are you compensated?
We are a fee-based firm. Our fees are based on the services we provide and the assets we manage. This structure aligns our interests with yours and ensures that our recommendations are based solely on what we believe is appropriate for your situation. A complete disclosure of our fees and services can be found here: Form ADV Part 2A and Part 2B
-
Are you truly independent?
Yes. Nadler Financial Group is privately owned. We have no outside shareholders, no private equity backing, and no affiliation with a larger financial institution that could influence how we advise clients. Our independence allows us to recommend whatever course of action we genuinely believe serves your best interests.
Financial Planning
-
Do you provide tax advice?
We incorporate tax strategies into your comprehensive financial plan and coordinate with your CPA throughout the process. However, we do not prepare tax returns or provide formal legal tax advice. We work collaboratively with your existing accountant and attorney, and we can provide referrals to qualified professionals when needed. We function as the central coordinator who ensures all of your advisors are working toward the same objectives.
-
Do I need comprehensive financial planning, or can I engage you only for investment management?
We prefer to work with clients who are interested in comprehensive financial planning rather than investment management alone. We are able to add significantly more value when we have a complete understanding of your financial picture, including your income, goals, tax situation, estate plan, insurance coverage, and more. That said, we are happy to discuss your specific circumstances and determine together what level of engagement makes the most sense for you.
-
How often will we meet?
We meet with clients on a regular basis, typically at least once per year for a comprehensive review, and more frequently as your circumstances require. We also believe in proactive communication: if a development in your life or in the markets warrants a conversation, we will reach out rather than wait for a scheduled meeting. You will always be able to reach our team directly.
